Histology
NeoForm™ Dermis
- Resists adhesion formation
- Suports cellular ingrowth and revascularization
- Remodels and transitions into host tissue
- Heals without fibrosis or scarring
Histology at one day
The NeoForm™ dermis (N) is on top, with the host (H) on the bottom. The implant has clear margins and healing has begun (slight inflammatory response)(Fig 2). There are no cells in the implant, but the dark dots indicate they are moving towards it (Fig 1).

Histology at 2 weeks
The margins between the implant and host are beginning to blur (Fig 4). The implant edges are clear, but are being incorporated into the site. Note how a large number of cells have now migrated into the implant (Fig 3).

Histology at 6 weeks
Remodeling progression is very evident (Fig 6). There is little difference between the host and the implant (Fig 5). Only slight inflammation between the two can be seen, and cells are integrated throughout the implant.

Histology at 14 months
The implant is completely remodeled. There are no edges. Although there is a thickening at the implant site, it is fully integrated (Fig 8). There is no difference between the implant and host in regards to cells, vascularization and uniformity (Fig 7).
