What is Puragen™?
Puragen is a hyaluronic acid (HA) gel that is injected under the skin to add volume and smooth lines and wrinkles. It consists of purified hyaluronic acid, which is a natural complex sugar already found
in your skin.
In other fillers, hyaluronic acid molecules are linked together with single bonds. Puragen’s exclusive DXL™ process creates a double cross-linked gel which makes it resistant to absorption by the body. As a result, your newly smoothed skin will stay that way longer.
How does Puragen differ from PREVELLE™?
Puragen and PREVELLE are compliementary to one another, and each is specifically formulated to address different needs of the skin. While Puragen is designed to help plump and smooth moderate to deep lines of the face, PREVELLE delicately and precisely treats fine to moderate lines.
What makes Puragen™ different from other hyaluronic acid facial fillers?
Puragen is made with a proprietary double cross-linking technology (DXL), offering you long-lasting and smooth results. Puragen gives you more of what you’re looking for—enduring, visible results.
How long will my Puragen™ treatment take?
A Puragen treatment takes
approximately 30 minutes.
Can anyone be treated with Puragen?
During your consultation, your healthcare professional will review your medical history to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for treatment.
How will I look and feel after my Puragen™ treatment?
Results are immediate. Following treatment, most people return to their normal activities without noticeable redness or swelling. As with other hyaluronic acid fillers, patients may experience other reactions in the area treated with Puragen. Typically reactions resolve shortly after treatment. Possible reactions should be discussed with your healthcare professional.
How long will my Puragen™ results last?
Results may last up to six months or longer. As with all hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers, Puragen’s smoothing results are temporary. The frequency of follow-up treatment is unique to each individual, and will depend on diverse factors such as the structure of your skin and treatment area.
